First Blog Post!

Here it goes: I’m launching a blog!

I’m excited!

With 8 million different things to do on a daily basis,  how could adding something else {like blogging} be feasible? If you’re like me, sometimes the laundry gets “fluffed” 3-5 extra cycles before I have the time or energy to take it out and fold it. So,

Why would I start a blog?

and

Why would you want to be a part of it?

I want to share experiences with you that I’ve had so you know you’re not alone: the good, the bad, and the ugly.. and the funny. God has changed my life forever through cancer and I want to share that with you!nicole upload 6

You or someone you know probably has/had cancer. It affects all of us. I hope to bring my experience, things I learned, and lots of love. And even more than that, I want to hear from you: what you are experiencing, what your needs are, and talk you through your journey as a friend.

There are so many trials, heartache, and difficulties that we see and face each day. I want to bring lots of love, joy, hope, encouragement, {and sparkle} that stems from faith in Jesus.  He has been everything to me through this.

Are you tired of people shutting you down when you’re hurting? Slapping on the band-aid of “count your blessings” or “be more thankful”? I want you to be heard and loved {just as Jesus does for you} as you share your stories, struggles, celebrations, laughs, and tears and then we can heal together{in the way it’s supposed to be done}. I am here to listen and talk with you through every hill and valley.

So even if my laundry has to get fluffed 10 times before I take it out to fold it, I know that this what I’m being called to do.

    • Libby, thank you for being an incredible mentor, prayer warrior, and an encouragement for me before cancer and through it all. God is so good and I just want to glorify Him with my life! He’s writing the story!! Haha I love that: #sparkleon !!

  4. Hey Nicole! Rejoicing with you & Wes! What a gift to be cancer free, to see restoration with your health. Wes worked with one of my boys in Explorers & we are thankful for his time and wisdom he poured into all the young men. Keep moving forward with your eyes on Christ…you two make a great team being His hands & feet.

    • Hi Andrea! Thank you for celebrating with us! We are so full of joy it is overflowing! It has been a true gift from the Lord and we don’t want to waste a second of this life He has allowed us to live. I can speak on behalf of him that if has been a pleasure and an honor for him to work with the Explorers! He {and I, both} think the absolute world of your son! He is a wonderful young man and is going to do big things! We know it! Thank you for your encouragement! Yes, keeping our eyes on Christ is everything! You are incredible! Thank you for your love!   5. Nicole, I hope to meet you when you return to CO! I have given to your campaign on behalf of your husband, Ofr Body, whom I “met” while being pulled over in my neighborhood, on my way to an oncology-related surgical consult appointment. He told me he would be praying for me. A year later, we met again when my husband and I attended the Castle Rock Citizens Police Academy, and I got to share with him how that blessed me to the core!!

    In any case, I too am a cancer CONQUEROR, and I thought it would amazing to meet up and share our stories with each other and the world! 💗 I live in CR, so feel free to contact me anytime. 😊

    • Lisa, we are absolutely blown away by your generosity. Thank you so much for giving to our campaign. It is amazing how God works in the way that he crosses paths. I am so thankful for you two to have met. And yes, I would LOVE nothing more than to meet up and share stories! That would bless me tremendously! I can’t wait to get together!!
